The twenty-ninth weekly meeting of departments’ directors of the Academy was held on Monday 14 Ramadan 1442, corresponding to 26 April 2021.

The Secretary General of the Academy spoke about the need to implement the provisions of the Strategic Plan through coordination and integration between the different departments, considering the commitment to effective planning. His Excellency also expressed his thanks to Dr. Ayman Abdelkarim, Advisor to the Secretary General for the Media, for his efforts which resulted in the publication of the sixth issue of the Academy’s monthly newsletter.

The meeting made several decisions, notably:

-To implement the Strategic Plan by holding meetings between the joint departments. The Planning Department will take charge of organizing these meetings.

-To send the Strategic Plan along with back issues of the IIFA newsletter to Academy members, experts, and OIC Permanent Delegates to make them aware of the Academy’s activities and programs.

-To call upon scholars and researchers to submit their papers to the topics of the 25th Session, provided that for each topic of the Session, five members of the Academy, five male experts and five female experts, would be selected, taking into account the geographical distribution in force at the OIC Member states.

-Activation of the Forum of Islamic Thought under its new name the Academy Forum, in which scholars and intellectuals from within and outside the Muslim world will be invited to give lectures on current topics.
