His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), held on Sunday, 20 Ramadan 1442 corresponding to May 2, 2021 in the administrative meeting hall at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy, the seventh monthly periodic meeting of the Academy’s employees. His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the employees and he congratulated them and thanked them for their dedication and sincerity in serving the Academy and advancing it. His Excellency also informed them of the approval of the General Secretariat of the Academy to disburse an incentive reward for each employee on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

Considering the nature of this meeting of self-accountability, His Excellency listened to the opinions and suggestions of the employees regarding the work of the Academy and its advancement. His Excellency also stated to the employees of the Academy that he closely follows the requests to amend the job status of some of the Academy’s employees with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

And in response to the inquiry about the right of the Academy’s staff to recover the value-added tax (VAT) in a similar fashion to what is applicable to the employees of the General Secretariat of the OIC, His Excellency assigned to the Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs the task to prepare a report on the mechanism followed by the OIC in this regard to be followed and applied to the employees of the Academy. His Excellency also directed the Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs to expedite the preparation and disbursement of overtime dues to the Academy’s employees, and that those dues are paid in the future on a monthly basis.
