H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, met on Thursday 16 Shawal 1442 corresponding to 27 May 2021, with the Academy’s heads of divisions.

His Excellency made a detailed presentation of the results of his recent visit to Malaysia, which resulted in the signing of scientific cooperation agreements with the Department of Islamic Affairs, headed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the International Shariah Research Academy (ISRA). His Excellency also referred to a series of meetings and lectures he held with Malaysian officials, led by the Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs.

His Excellency then reviewed the working progress according to the minutes of the previous meeting, praising the efforts of Mr. Mourad Al-Tlili, Advisor to the Secretary General for Media Affairs, who followed up on the work of translating the news on the Academy’s website in the absence of Mr. Jawzi Lardjane, Head of the Translation Division, who was on leave.

The meeting resulted in several decisions, namely:

– To compile all the statements issued by the Academy on various topics and issues from its inception until now in a single file, in order to publish them on the Academy’s website independently of the resolutions and recommendations.

– To integrate an electronic copy of the fourth edition of the Academy’s resolutions and recommendations on the website for easy access by researchers.

-To integrate biographies of Academy’s members, experts, and officials with their photos on the website, following a unified template for biography content, to prepare a dictionary of Academy’s members and experts.

– To prepare detailed and thematic indexes for the book of resolutions to be printed with the fifth edition after the twenty-fifth session.
