His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), presided over the forty third weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments, on Monday, 28 Muharram 1443H, corresponding to September 06, 2021G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees and thanking them for attending, then spoke about the importance of these meetings, which aim to create a stimulating work environment and contribute to the development of work in the Academy, as well as maintaining continuous communication and exchange of opinions and ideas between departments, following up on new work, and to identify the difficulties that prevent some departments from achieving part of their activities and programs.
Then His Excellency spoke about the necessity of communicating with the concerned authorities in the headquarters country regarding precautionary measures when holding scientific forums and symposia.
His Excellency discussed the items of the decisions issued in the previous meeting and the follow-up of what has been accomplished of these decisions. The meeting issued several decisions, the most important of which are:
- Starting to send invitations to the heads of Ifta authorities in the member states of the organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and in Muslim communities in order to participate in the consultative symposium to be held during the month of January 2022.
- Inviting the Academy’s members and experts to suggest new topics to be added to the topics postponed for the twenty-sixth session.
- Start holding lectures for the Academy’s Forum in the first week of January 2022, provided that the names of the lecturers will be approved as soon as possible.
