49th Weekly Meeting of Departments Directors

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the forty-ninth weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments on Monday, 10 Rabi’ al-Awwal, 1443H, corresponding to October 18, 2021G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.

His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees then spoke about the importance of good preparation for the symposium that will be held next November on cryptocurrencies, which is the first in attendance seminar after the Corona pandemic, and also called for the formation of a number of specialized committees to deal with various issues related to the symposium.

Based on the principle of transparency, justice, and equal opportunities, His Excellency reminded everyone that the appointment of directors of departments and heads of divisions will be on annual basis and according to job performance, which means the possibility of renewal, transfer, and change, as well as providing the opportunity for the largest number of employees to gain experience.

His Excellency also thanked Mr. Saad Al-Sammaar for his efforts in designing and producing the eleventh issue of the Academy’s newsletter.

Then the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and the follow-up of what has been achieved. Several decisions were issued by the meeting, the most important of which are:

  • Forming a scientific committee to review the research submitted for the cryptocurrency symposium and to ensure that it is reviewed before printing.
  • Forming a media committee to handle the technical work, prepare the brochure of the seminar, print publications, and document the proceedings of the sessions by video and photography.
  • Forming a guest relations committee to handle all matters related to reception, visas, tickets, and follow-up with the VIPs.
  • Forming a financial committee to handle financial matters and related bill payments and incentives.
  • Appointing Dr. Abdel-Fattah Abnaouf as editor-in-chief of the newsletter.
