58th Weekly Meeting of Departments Directors

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), presided the fifty-eighth weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments on Monday, 16 Jumada Al-Ula 1443H, corresponding to 20 December 2021G, via Zoom technology from his residence in the Guinean capital Conakry.

His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, thanking them for their keenness to attend these weekly meetings. Then His Excellency spoke about the periodic meetings, and the keenness of the departments to review the decisions issued by these meetings, indicating that successful administrative work is the work that is based on follow-up and organization of administrative and scientific work. Moreover, the assignments and decisions issued by these meetings serve as a reference for following up on the activities and programs that the Academy intends to carry out, discussing new issues, eliminating rumors, and the negative centralization that may harm the functioning of the Academy.

Then His Excellency touched on the cooperation agreement with the Guinean Ministry of Religious Affairs, which will be signed in the coming days. In this regard, His Excellency thanked Dr. Abdel Fattah Abnauf for his efforts in preparing the draft of the agreement, which was widely accepted and appreciated.

Then the meeting discussed the items of decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several decisions were issued the most important of which are:

  • Call for papers to be sent to the Academy members who haven’t been approached before on the topics that are not sufficiently covered. Also contacting the organizations with which the Academy has signed agreements in order for them to nominate some participants.
  • Follow up with “Dar Mufakkirun” for publishing regarding the issuance of the magazine’s issues (20-21) before the next session of the Academy.
  • Revising the current edition of the Book of Resolutions in preparation for reprinting it before the next session of the Academy.
