H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Sharif Nabhani, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Saudi Arabia, received His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) on Thursday, 03 Jumada II 1443H, corresponding to 06 January 2022G at the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in the Embassies District of Riyadh, the Kingdom Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency the Ambassador warmly welcomed his Excellency and thanked him in particular for this visit, which is a confirmation of his sincere loyalty and deep sense of belonging to his country’s leadership and people, as well as an expression of his desire to strengthen relations of cooperation, partnership and coordination between the Academy and the scientific and religious institutions of the Republic of Guinea in order to spread the culture of moderation, tolerance and coexistence, and to combat all forms of intolerance, extremism, radicalization and terrorism.

In the meantime, he praised His Excellency’s recent successful visit to the Republic of Guinea, where he met with His Excellency the President of the Republic, his Excellency the Prime Minister, and a number of ministers, and in particular the cooperation agreement signed by His Excellency with the General Secretariat for Religious Affairs of Guinea.

He then expressed his pleasure and satisfaction with the qualitative developments and changes that have taken place in the General Secretariat of the Academy since his Excellency began his duties as Secretary General, which is a source of great pride for the African continent in general and for the Republic of Guinea in particular. He concluded by expressing the readiness of the Republic of Guinea to provide all support, and care to the Academy in order to enable it to carry out its valuable mission and achieve its noble objectives.

For his part, His Excellency expressed his great thanks to the Ambassador for his good reception and hospitality, praising the continued support that the Academy has enjoyed from the leadership and people of the Republic of Guinea since its founding to this day. His Excellency also expressed his great appreciation for the recent visit of His Excellency the Ambassador to the General Secretariat of the Academy, stressing the Academy’s keenness to implement the provisions of the cooperation agreement signed between the Academy and the General Secretariat for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Guinea in order to promote moderation, and spread the culture of tolerance and coexistence.
