17th Monthly General Meeting of IIFA’s Employees

On Sunday, 03 Sha’ban 1443H corresponding to 06 March 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the seventeenth monthly general meeting of the Academy’s employees at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the staff, thanking them for their regular attendance at the periodic general meetings because of their direct impact on the outcomes and quality of work at the Academy. His Excellency then touched on his participation in the Second African Conference on Promoting Peace in Societies, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum on February 8-10, in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. On the sidelines of this participation, His Excellency held a number of high-level meetings with His Excellency the Prime Minister, Head of the Mauritanian Government, His Excellency the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency the Mauritanian Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education. His Excellency signed with the latter a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between the Ministry and the Academy.

As is customary in this type of meeting, His Excellency gave the opportunity to all employees to express their opinions and observations about the work progress in the Academy, in addition to receiving their constructive suggestions for the advancement of the Academy and the performance of employees. His Excellency listened with interest and care to the comments, suggestions, and questions of many employees, and responded to them with adequate and satisfactory answers, and called on everyone to continue to show a spirit of cooperation, synergy and fraternity, and to make maximum efforts to accomplish all the work of the Academy in the required manner.

The meeting took several decisions, the most important of which are:

  • Requesting from the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department to study the possibility of expanding the health insurance coverage network for the employees of the General Secretariat of the Academy, to improve the quality of health care provided to them.
  • Putting surveillance cameras at the entrances and exits of the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy as soon as possible in order to provide the necessary security for the employees.
  • Obtain the master digital copy of Zayed’s Encyclopedia to be reprinted as soon as possible.
