The General Secretariat of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) held its 77th weekly meeting for department directors on Monday 15 Shawwal 1443H corresponding to 16 May 2022G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, welcoming the attendees, thanking them for their regularity and participation in these meetings. His Excellency then spoke about his visit to the Consulate of the United Arab Emirates in Jeddah to offer his condolences for the death of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, who passed away on Friday 13 May 2022G, praising the UAE’s role in providing continuous support and generous care through the distinct hosting of a number of sessions of the Academy and specialized scientific seminars. His Excellency also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his election by the Supreme Council of the State as President of the United Arab Emirates to succeed Sheikh Khalifa, asking God Almighty to grant him success in serving his people and the Muslim Ummah and to be the best successor to the best predecessor.
The meeting discussed the items of decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:
- Sending a reminder to all departments regarding the preparation of a full report from each department on the accomplished activities and programs in accordance with the annual strategic plan for the first quarter of this year and handing it over to the Planning Department as soon as possible.
- Preparing a report regarding the financial cost of printing the latest issues of the Academy’s Journal, attaching quotations from other companies for comparison and choosing the best and lowest price offers.
- Reactivating the committees that were formed in the Cryptocurrencies Symposium to work according to what is specified for them in the Symposium on Stunning Poultry and Animals to be held with the Food and Drug General Authority.
- Preparing a detailed report and a clear concept of the annual appraisal of employees at all levels, and what is related to promotions and bonuses for employees in accordance with the statute of the OIC.
