On Sunday 06 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1444H corresponding to 02 October 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the twenty-fourth monthly periodic meeting of the Academy’s employees, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees and thanking them for their participation, then he touched upon the achievements, improvements and various projects that the Academy has achieved during the past twenty-four months since His Excellency assumed the duties of the Secretary General of the Academy, thanking everyone for their good cooperation and the efforts they exerted to perform their duties towards God and the Muslim Ummah, which we all serve. He also urged everyone to persevere in serious and distinguished work to achieve the goals of the Academy, so that the coming year would be better than the previous year in terms of results.

As usual, His Excellency then opened the way for all employees to freely express their opinions and suggestions and put forward their professional and social problems and issues for discussion so that they can be answered and solved professionally in order to achieve the principle of positive communication between His Excellency and the employees, and in an effort to achieve job satisfaction and work environment motivating creativity and innovation. His Excellency listened attentively to the interventions and inquiries of the participants and stressed the need to show a spirit of tolerance and forgiveness among employees in order to preserve brotherly ties and cooperation between them, and to seek reward from God Almighty.

Several decisions were taken from the meeting, the most important of which are:

• Communicate with the Academy’s members and experts in order to suggest new topics for the upcoming Sessions of the Academy.
• Creating a database of researchers for the next Session in order to be used for the upcoming Sessions of the Academy.
• Agreeing on the names of the member states of the OIC nominated to host the next Sessions of the Academy.
