His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the ninety-eighth weekly meeting of the departments of the Academy, on Tuesday 21 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 15 November 2022G, via video technology from his residence in Frankfurt, the Federal Republic of Germany.
His Excellency started the meeting by welcoming the attendees, thanking all the employees for their efforts in preparing for the twenty-fifth session of the Academy. Then he thanked the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department for its commendable efforts in preparing the annual financial report and the general budget of the Academy, which received distinguished praise from the financial oversight committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Then he talked about the visits he is currently making to both Britain and Germany, where he participates in the first annual meeting of the Al Baraka Forum in the British capital, London, and which deals with issues and topics of Islamic finance in all its aspects. He also talked about the two cooperation agreements concluded by the Academy on the sidelines of the visit with Al Maktoum College for Higher Education at the University of Dundee in Britain, and the Supreme Council of Muslims in Germany.
The meeting then discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:
- Accelerate the adoption of the estimated cost of the media coverage of the session, after comparing it with three offers.
- Preparing a concept for the site about the possibility of uploading the journal of the Academy for viewing, while striving to update and develop it continuously.
