Guinean Minister of Government Affairs visits IIFA

His Excellency Mr. Abd al-Rahman Siki Camara, Minister of Government Affairs of the Republic of Guinea, visited on Tuesday 26 Jumada al-Awwal 1444H corresponding to 20 December 2022G, the headquarters of the Academy’s General Secretariat in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Upon his arrival, His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were received by His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), who welcomed him warmly, and expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for this first visit by His Excellency to the headquarters of the Academy. He also expressed his great gratitude and appreciation to the government of the Republic of Guinea for the constant care and continuous support the Academy has enjoyed since its inception to the present day, praising the distinguished good relations that exist between the Academy and Guinean institutions and scientific centers, led by the General Secretariat for Religious Affairs and the National Council for Fatwa. His Excellency concluded by expressing his aspiration to enhancing relations of cooperation, partnership and coordination between the Academy and all the scientific institutions and centers that work in the field of disseminating the approach of moderation and the culture of temperance, tolerance and coexistence between religions.

For his part, His Excellency the Minister expressed his great happiness with this visit to this leading intellectual institution, which today has become one of the leading intellectual institutions that enjoy great respect and great appreciation in all parts of the world. He also added: “On the sidelines of the Guinean delegation’s participation in the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on combating corruption, I was honored by the fraternal visit to His Excellency the Secretary General of the Academy, accompanied by Mr. Billy Keita, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, and Mr. Ali Touré, Special Prosecutor at the Court for the Suppression of Economic and Financial Crimes of the Republic of Guinea, in order to convey to His Excellency the Secretary General the congratulatory message from His Excellency, the Head of State, the Transitional President of the Republic, Colonel Mamady Doumboya, and from the Prime Minister, the Head of Government, from the members of the Government, and from all the people of Guinea, in appreciation of the precious confidence that the Member States of the OIC have placed in the person of Your Excellency to assume this prestigious position of responsibility.”

In conclusion, His Excellency expressed his great pleasure at what he heard from His Excellency the Minister, and his special pride in the congratulatory message conveyed by His Excellency from His Excellency the President of the Republic, praying to God Almighty to protect His Excellency, his government, and the Guinean people, and that the generous Lord help him to carry out the trust that He entrusted to him. Then, His Excellency gave his guest and the accompanying delegation souvenirs.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr. Nabi Soma, Chargé d’affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Mondher El-Chouk Director of the Cabinet and Protocol Affairs Department at the Academy.
