His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired on Sunday 14 Rajab 1444H corresponding to 05 February 2023G, the twenty-eighth periodic meeting of the Academy’s employees, at the headquarters of the Academy’s General Secretariat in Jeddah.

At the outset, His Excellency welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of the monthly meetings of the employees of the Academy, which are devoted to reviewing the work of the Academy during the past month, and making it an opportunity for self-criticism, resolving problems, presenting suggestions, and discussing issues of concern to employees freely and transparently.

After talking about the overall projects and obligations facing the Academy during the current month and the extra work that is required of all employees within the coming days for the success of the 25th Session of the Academy, His Excellency urged all employees to make maximum efforts to complete the necessary preparations for the Session and to cooperate and coordinate continuously between committees and work teams.

Then the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:

• Directing all departments to communicate with the heads of divisions through their directors, in compliance with the value of discipline, which is one of the ten values of the Academy, and considering the administrative hierarchy and controlling the work performed in a proper manner.
• Updating the list of proposed monthly lectures and communicating with the speakers to confirm their commitment to the proposed dates.
• Directing the Purchasing Committee to provide a clear proposal regarding the Academy’s vehicles and the need to purchase a new vehicle.
• Digitizing the books of the Academy’s library and placing the flags of member states on top shelves.
