H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, chaired the 108th weekly meeting of the departments’ directors, on Monday, 11 Rabi’ al-Awal 1445, corresponding to 25 September 2023, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

After welcoming the attendees and thanking them for regularly attending the meetings, His Excellency spoke about the importance of saving electricity, and ensuring that the lights and air conditioners in the offices are turned off at the end of work and when leaving the offices. His Excellency instructed the financial department to study and find out the reasons for the steady increase in the electricity bill during recent months.

The meeting discussed decisions of the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, notably:

• Preparing a plan topublish a number of simplified encyclopedias and dictionaries that serve Islam and Muslims.
• Preparing a concept for the review of IIFA Journal, Issue 24, and submitting it for printing in the same way as Issues 21, 22, and 23.
• Search for companies specializing in library organization and classification to reorganize the Academy’s library.
