Born in Afghanistan in 1941, H.E. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Wardak obtained a bachelor’s degree from Dar al-Uloom al-Arabi School in Kabul, a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Sharia at Kabul University, and a master’s degree in the Foundations of Islamic Jurisprudence from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Azhar University. His Eminence has been a member of the curriculum and textbook design committee for Sharia schools, a member of the Afghan University Entrance Examination Committee linked to the Ministry of Higher Education. His Eminence has been responsible for the training of judges and prosecutors on the Judges’ Rotation Committee and continues to teach at the Shariah College of Kabul University, in addition to many other senior positions at Kabul University. His Eminence is the author of a number of books and translations. As a member of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, H.E. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Wardak has represented Afghanistan since September 13, 2012.
