His Eminence has been a Member representing the Federal Republic of Somalia in the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) since 3 November 2019.

His Eminence has served as a part-time lecturer at the Al-Madinah International University (Malaysia) and Imam Al-Marwazi University in Somalia, where he taught various branches of Islamic knowledge, including Islamic creed (‘Aqidah), Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, Tafsir and Qur’anic Sciences, and Prophetic Hadith. Since 1420 AH (1999), he has worked as a Shariah Researcher at the Qur’anic Studies Center of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an in Madinah. He currently serves as Director of the Qur’anic Studies Center at the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, a position he has held since 1444 AH. He has participated in numerous academic conferences in various fields of Islamic studies and has authored and edited several works in different areas of scholarship.
