Mr. Abdullah Al-Tamimi, Director of the Department of Fatwa, Journals and Libraries, participated on behalf of the Secretary General of the Academy in the 8th Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Bodies and Institutions on Wednesday and Thursday, 3-4 Jumada Al-Akhira 1446, corresponding to 4-5 December 2024, at the headquarters of the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah.

The meeting aims to discuss projects and events completed in 2024, proposed activities for the coming years and challenges that the General Secretariat and its institutions may face.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr Al-Tamimi met with the OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for the Islamophobia Observatory, Ambassador Dr Mohammed Pachaji, to coordinate with the Academy on possible solutions to combat this phenomenon and to discuss ways of cooperation with the Academy.

Mr. Al-Tamimi recalled the efforts of the Academy, as the highest legitimate authority of the OIC Member States and Muslim communities worldwide, to support the fight against Islamophobia and that the Academy pays great attention to combating this phenomenon.
