H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 162nd weekly departmental meeting on Monday, 21 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to 6 July 2026, at the Academy’s General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and renewed his thanks and appreciation to Mr Amjad Ibrahim Al-Munassi, Head of the Protocol Division, on the occasion of the completion of his service at the Academy. He commended the distinguished efforts he had made during his tenure and directed the Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs to finalise the arrangements for a recognition ceremony in appreciation of his dedication and contributions to serving the Academy.

The meeting then discussed a number of administrative and organisational matters related to the workflow of the Academy’s departments and reviewed the implementation of previous decisions.

Several resolutions were issued during the meeting, the most notable of which were:

• Adding QR codes to the Academy’s newsletter, annual report, and updated informational brochures to enhance access to the Academy’s publications.
• Emphasising the need for daily updates to the Academy’s website and verifying the accuracy of information related to Academy members, national flags, and other website content.
• Preparing a comprehensive report on the printing of the Academy’s Journal, reviewing contracts related to printing and translation, and following up on the completion of the printing of translations of the book “Academy Resolutions” in Persian, Hausa, and Urdu.
