His Eminence Prof. Abdullah Baba, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Islamic Cooperation Organization visited the headquarters of the Academy and was received by His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Sano on the morning of Wednesday 4 Rabi al-Awal 1442, corresponding to 21 October 2020.

The Deputy Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco congratulated His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Sano on his assumption of office as Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy.

During the meeting, His Excellency expressed the willingness of the Academy, as the scientific and juridical organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to strengthen cooperation relations with scientific and jurisprudential institutions in the Kingdom of Morocco, particularly the Supreme Scientific Council, and the different scientific institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, as well as the interest of the Academy to benefit from reliable Moroccan scholars to answer jurisprudential and legal questions.

His Excellency also expressed the Academy’s interest in the Kingdom of Morocco to host one of the scientific sessions that the Academy organizes every year and to sign memorandums of understanding and cooperation between the Academy and scientific institutions such as the Supreme Scientific Council, Rabita Mohammedia of Oulemas, and the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Mourchidin and Mourchidat.
