H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 3rd weekly meeting of the administrations of the Academy, on the morning of Sunday 08 Rabi al-Awal 1441, corresponding to 25 October 2020.
The Secretary of the Academy started the meeting with a welcome address, stressing the importance of strengthening brotherhood and brotherly feelings among the officials of the Academy, and the need to treat each other with fraternity and sincerity. The meeting discussed a number of issues and problems related to the conduct of the activities of the Academy. The meeting reached a number of decisions, the most important of which are as follows:
-Starting preparations for the holding of the 25th session and launching the call for researchers and experts.
-Organizing a virtual scientific forum between the Academy and members of the Shariah councils in the banks of the headquarters country.
-Scheduling academic visits to a number of institutions, universities and academic organizations in the headquarters country in order to strengthen cooperation relations with the Academy.
-Expediting the distribution of the publications of the Academy to universities, institutions, academic and educational organizations in the headquarters country.
-Inviting the delegates of non-Member States accredited to the OIC to visit the Academy in order to consult with them on the Academy’s interactions with Muslims in their societies (Muslim Diaspora).
-Expediting the printing of the resolutions and recommendations of the 24 sessions of the Academy in the three languages of the Organization, (Arabic, English and French), for distribution to the Member States at the Conference of Foreign Ministers to be held in Niamey, Niger in November 2020.
