H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, received in his office on Wednesday 27 Safar 1442 corresponding to 14 October 2020, H.E. Ambassador Muhammad Metin Aker, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Turkey to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

His Excellency extended his congratulations to Prof. Koutoub Sano on the occasion of his assumption of duties, and praised the role of the Academy as a jurisprudential reference of the Muslim world, and the role it plays in achieving the unity of the jurisprudential vision, stressing the importance of the role of Academy in joint Islamic action through cooperation with the official and accredited Islamic institutions of the Republic of Turkey.

His Excellency suggested to initiate the translation of the resolutions of the Academy into Turkish language in order to ensure their wider dissemination in Turkish-speaking countries. Both sides discussed issues of common interest during the meeting.
