34th Monthly Personnel Meeting of Academy

H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the thirty-fourth monthly meeting of the Academy’s employees, on Sunday 03 Rabi’ al-Awal 1445, corresponding to September 17, 2023, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees, thanked them for participating in the meeting, and spoke about the importance of these meetings in coordinating, completing, and following up on the team work. His Excellency also spoke about the necessity of reviewing what has been accomplished and what has not been accomplished during the past three years, and knowing the obstacles and their causes, and the impediments to achieve it.

His Excellency spoke about the importance of discipline and time management, the necessity of respecting time, and that our religion is a religion of discipline, starting with prayer, which is the pillar of religion, as it is performed according to specific times of the day and night in order to enable the Muslim to mannage his time during the day and night, and God, Glory be to Him, is truthful: { Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.}

As is customary in such meetings, His Excellency paved the way for the Academy’s employees to express their opinions and observations about work in the Academy. He listened with great interest and focus to the observations and proposals, and then the meeting took several decisions, the most important of which were:

  • Repairing the lighting of the Academy’s exterior facade, as part of it was broken.
  • Spraying the building with pesticides and disinfectants.
  • Publishing the Academy’s documentary directly on the Academy’s website without the viewer having to go back to YouTube.
  • Emptying the warehouse before the next monthly meeting, provided that a weekly report is submitted to the Secretary-General of the Academy in this regard.
  • The Gifts Committee should distribute the “Jurisprudence Rules Manual” to members of the Council of Senior Scholars, Saudi universities, and universities affiliated with the OIC.
  • Sending a copy of the Academy’s magazine and any available publications from the Academy to the delegation of scholars that visited Afghanistan, and some universities in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Niger, Nigeria, Guinea, Kuwait, Qatar, and other universities.
  • Delivering annual reports to employees in a timely manner, and the importance of managers seeking justice, fairness, fear of God when preparing such report.

Secretary‑General of the Academy Visits the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary‑General of the Academy, paid an official visit on 29 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 February 2026, to the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jeddah. His Excellency and his accompanying delegation were received by His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Salah Sobhi Hameed, Consul General and Permanent Representative of Jordan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, who welcomed him warmly and expressed his pleasure at the visit. He praised the distinguished intellectual efforts undertaken by the Academy under His Excellency’s leadership in addressing numerous religious and intellectual issues of concern to the Islamic world, affirming his personal honor in meeting His Excellency again and Jordan’s keenness to strengthen channels of communication and cooperation with the Academy, especially in areas of mutual interest. For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
