His Eminence Sheikh Nouriddine Khalik Nazar, a prominent figure in the religious life of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was born on June 25, 1968, in Asaka, in the region of Andijan.

Academic Background

• 1985 to 1987: His Eminence pursued his studies at the Andijan State Medical Institute.
• 1987 to 1992: He completed his training at the Mir Arab Madrasa.
• 1992 to 1996: He studied at the Tashkent Islamic Institute.
• 2003 to 2007: He continued his studies at Fergana State University.

Professional Career and Religious Responsibilities

• 1996: His Eminence was appointed Imam of the Ahmad Ali Makhdum Mosque in the region of Andijan.
• 2004: He was appointed Imam of the Oqtepa Mosque in Tashkent and teacher at the Kokaldosh specialized Islamic religious educational institution.
• 2005: He was designated representative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan in the region of Andijan, as well as chief imam-preacher of the said region.
• 2011: He served as a teacher at the Sayyid Muhyiddin Makhdum specialized Islamic religious educational institution in the region of Andijan.
• 2019: He was designated representative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan for the city of Tashkent and chief imam-preacher of the capital.
• Since October 19, 2021: His Eminence serves as President of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Grand Mufti of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
