The 2nd monthly meeting of the Academy’s personnel entitled by H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano as “Self-Accountability and Self-Criticism Meeting”

H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, held the second extended monthly meeting of the Academy’s personnel on Sunday 21 Rabi ‘Al-Akhir 1442, corresponding to 6 December 2020. His Excellency opened the meeting by reminding everyone that this meeting is a meeting of self-responsibility and self-criticism in order to address the shortcomings in performance to improve the work of the Academy and strengthen fraternal relations among its officials.

His Excellency then referred to the results of the meetings of the 48th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Muslim Countries held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Niamey, the capital of the Republic of Niger, on 27-28 November 2020, which led to the approval of the amended Statute of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy.

Several decisions were taken in the meeting, the most important of which are as follows:

-To hold the 25th Session of the Academy in early November 2021.

-To approve the detailed planning for the organization of the annual sessions of the Academy for the next five years, provided that the planning shall include a report on the status of member states’ contributions for the organization of the sessions, ranging from full to partial funding, with the development of a financial vision for the sessions.

-Entrust Mr. Saad Al-Sammar to prepare a detailed draft of the training courses for the Academy’s personnel in order to improve the organizational performance of managers and directors.

-Entrust Dr. Ayman Muhammad Abdul-Karim to prepare a list of the technological needs of the Media Department for media work, and to contact the Saudi Television Directorate to obtain the historical records of the Academy to record and preserve its heritage.

Secretary‑General of the Academy Visits the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary‑General of the Academy, paid an official visit on 29 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 February 2026, to the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jeddah. He praised the distinguished intellectual efforts undertaken by the Academy under His Excellency’s leadership in addressing numerous religious and intellectual issues of concern to the Islamic world, affirming his personal honor in meeting His Excellency again and Jordan’s keenness to strengthen channels of communication and cooperation with the Academy, especially in areas of mutual interest. For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
