H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, received Ambassador Mohammed Salah Sobhi Hamid, Consul General and new Permanent Representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, at the Academy’s headquarters in Jeddah on Tuesday, 07 Rajab 1446, corresponding to 07 January 2025.
The Secretary General welcomed the Ambassador and thanked him for this visit, which confirms his keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Secretariat General of the Academy and the scientific and religious institutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Ambassador also expressed his great appreciation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as King, Government and people, for the continuous support and care that the Academy has enjoyed since its establishment, praising its appreciable efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Academy and Jordanian academic and religious institutions and centers. He also spoke about the visit of the delegation led by the Academy to Afghanistan.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and praised the efforts of the Academy under the leadership of His Excellency in serving Islam and Muslims through various scientific programs and activities, stressing that Jordan will continue to support the appreciated efforts of the Academy and strengthen the ties of cooperation, coordination and communication between the Academy and Jordanian scientific and religious institutions and centers. At the end of the visit, the Ambassador recorded his feelings in the guest book, where he wrote: “I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Academy for what it offers to the Arab and Islamic nations, hoping and praying that this great institution will remain a defender of the tolerant message of Islam that unites the word of Muslims”.
The meeting was attended by Mr Mondher Chouk, Director of Cabinet and Protocols, Mr Mohammed Walid Al-Idrisi, Director of Media, Public Relations and IT, and Mr Amjad Ibrahim Mustafa Al-Mansi, Head of Protocols Division.
