Under the chairmanship of the Secretary-General of the Academy, the 10th weekly meeting of the departments directors was held on Monday 29 Rabi al-Akhir 1442, corresponding to 14 December 2020.

His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the participants and discussed the most important aspects of the meeting he had with H.E. Mr. Mostafa Mihraje, Consul General and Permanent Representative of France to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, concerning the means of strengthening cooperation and partnership between the Academy and religious authorities in France.

His Excellency spoke with the Consul General of the French Republic about the aggressions against Islam and the Prophet, peace be upon him, explaining to him the true concepts of Islam and that the teachings of Shariah are founded on moderation, openness, as well as avoidance of fanaticism, extremism and violence. His Excellency confirmed to the Consul General that those who insult the Noble Prophet are due to their blatant ignorance of his excellent biography and unparalleled humanism, which makes it necessary for further cooperation between the Academy and the scientific councils and academic institutions in France.

The meeting resulted in a number of decisions, the most important of which are the following:

-To begin the classification and categorization of the Academy’s resolutions and recommendations according to the subjects of thought, family, transactions, crimes and others, while adding the option to print the resolutions on Academy’s website.

-To prepare gift-letters for the new edition of the resolutions and recommendations of the Academy.

-Requesting departments to prepare weekly reports on their activities to be presented at the weekly meeting.
