On behalf of H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Dr. Abdulqahir Qamar chaired the 4th Session of the 33rd Conference of Muslims of Latin America and the Caribbean, which was held via videoconference on 16 Jamada Al-Oula 1442, corresponding to 31 December 2020.

During a full hour, participants in the session discussed many topics related to the provisions of Islamic jurisprudence on epidemics and pandemics, as well as Ijtihad and Ifta rules on calamities, and Shariah provisions on quarantine, curfews, contact with infected persons.
