His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the 40th weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments on Monday, 07 Muharram 1442H corresponding to August 16, 2021G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.

His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees thanking them for attending regularly, which has a great impact in facilitating the follow-up of work and the implementation of the activities and programs of the Academy’s strategic plan.

The meeting then discussed a number of issues and reached several decisions, the most important of which are:

1. Begin preparing the proposed topics for the twenty sixth (26) Annual Session, with priority given to the topics postponed in previous sessions
2. Calling for offers to renovate the Academy’s meeting hall in order to use it to hold scientific symposia and forums,
3. Presenting an integrated plan for organizing and holding specialized seminars outside the member states of the Academy.
4. Collection of digital fatwas issued by fatwa bodies and reputable scientific institutions in the member states of the Academy about cryptocurrencies.
