His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the forty-sixth weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments, on Monday Safar 20, 1443H, corresponding to September 27, 2021G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees and thanking everyone for regularly attending the meetings, and then expressed his thanks to the secretary of the meetings, Dr. Abdel Fattah Abnouf, and his assistant, Mr. Ahmed Jazouli, for their constant efforts and keenness to communicate the outcomes and decisions of the meetings to all employees very quickly.
His Excellency also spoke about the importance of making sure of the arrangements related to the scientific symposium that will be organized by the General Secretariat of the Academy in November, entitled “Cryptocurrencies,” and stressed the need to exert more effort and strive to communicate with the participants to ensure that the symposium is held on time.
His Excellency discussed the provisions of the decisions issued in the previous meeting and the follow-up of what has been accomplished of these decisions. Several decisions were issued by the meeting, the most important of which are:
- Instructing the archive and follow-up division to communicate with all departments to cater to their requirements in terms of what needs to be archived from the stored files in the old warehouse.
- Setting a specific and detailed schedule that includes setting and defining the stages of preparing the monthly newsletter, starting with collecting the material, correcting it, and sending it for publication, provided that each stage is given sufficient time for completion.
- Preparing and publishing the second batch of the biographies of the departed members and experts of the Academy.
