On Thursday 20 Rabi’ al-Thani 1443H corresponding to 25 November 2021G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the twenty-sixth periodic meeting of divisions heads, via Zoom technology, from his residence in the Guinean capital Conakry.
His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the attendees, thanking them for their good efforts in order to achieve and realize the goals and programs of the Academy to the fullest. His Excellency urged everyone to exert maximum efforts and full cooperation between all departments and divisions to overcome any obstacles and achieve the goals set for all in order to enhance the status and reputation of the Academy inside and outside the Muslim world. His Excellency also congratulated the employees who had recently received promotions, wishing that it would motivate them to give more, and promised to seek with the competent authorities to promote the rest of the employees who were not promoted due to lack of promotion conditions in their applications.
His Excellency also spoke about the upcoming seminars the Academy intends to organize in partnership with some religious institutions and centers in the member states and directed the concerned departments to prepare an integrated concept of these events to study them from all technical and financial aspects in order to secure their success and excellence. His Excellency also asked the Financial Affairs Department to present an alternative scenario aimed at identifying the costs of organizing an Annual Session in partnership with a number of institutions from the public and private sectors within the member states.
The meeting discussed a number of topics, and took a number of decisions regarding them, the most important of which are:
- Full preparation for the 25th session of the Academy during the first quarter of 2022.
- Adding a brief introduction of the researchers participating in the “crypto-currencies” symposium to the publication of the research for the symposium before printing and publishing it.
- Adding the “Seminars” icon to the Academy’s website and uploading the necessary information to update it.
