Statement on the Recent Explosions in London and Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organization of the Islamic Conference strongly condemns the series of criminal attacks over the past two weeks, killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds of innocent people, and expresses its deep shock.

The Academy reiterates that these crimes, which targeted innocent souls, damaged property and disrupted the security of countries and people, contradict all human principles and moral values and are rejected by all religions. The Academy extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and victims of these attacks.

The Secretariat General of the Academy condemns these criminal acts and calls upon the human community to unanimously oppose these shameful acts, expose their motives and propose practical solutions to put an end to them. The Islamic scientific commissions are called upon to present the fundamentals and spiritual currents confirmed by Islam in a correct and accurate manner, far from any fanaticism and extremism that may exist in any human society.

And may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions.
