29th Periodic Meeting of Divisions Heads

On Thursday 10 Jumada II 1443H corresponding to 13 January 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the twenty-ninth periodic meeting of division heads at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency the Secretary General welcomed the heads of divisions and thanked them for their regular attendance at these important and decisive meetings for the Academy’s programs and projects and the methods for their implementation in a timely manner. His Excellency also pointed out the necessity of all employees’ commitment to the organizational procedures and regulations of the Academy with regard to the rules of attendance and permission to leave for private business, reminding everyone to be honest and trustworthy in dealing with the institution and to have a sense of responsibility towards the Muslim Ummah, especially that the salaries of all employees come from the contributions of the member states of the Organization, and therefore the moral responsibility is great for all of us to perform our duty to the fullest and best form.

On the other hand, His Excellency referred to the issue of employee rights and affirmed in this regard his directive to the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department of the Academy to enable all employees to use their annual leaves whenever they want to, in order to ensure the employee’s comfort and to provide the appropriate atmosphere, while adhering to the procedures and regulations listed in the Academy’s statute and the Organization’s framework system. His Excellency also called on the employees of the Academy to inform the concerned authority of any violation of the system, stressing that there is no tolerance for those who defraud the Academy by circumventing the fingerprint system aimed at controlling the attendance and leave times of employees.

The meeting reached several decisions, the most important of which are:

  • Reviewing the monthly newsletter on a daily basis to avoid accumulating news for the committees charged with editing and reviewing it, and in order to issue it on time.
  • Distributing copies of the annual newsletter book on a large scale within the member states to publicize the Academy’s activities and achievements during the past year.
  • Expedite the completion of tasks related to holding a seminar on poultry stunning in partnership with the Food and Drug Authority.
