His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the sixty-second weekly meeting of the directors of departments at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah, on Monday 14 Jumada II 1443H corresponding to 17 January 2022G.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the directors of the departments, and thanked them for their commitment to attend these important weekly meetings to follow up on the activities and programs of the Academy. The Secretary General also referred to the need for all employees to adhere to the official working hours, and the rules of attendance and leave as stipulated in the regulations and procedures of the Academy’s statute and the framework system of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and called on all directors to ensure that these rules are strictly applied within their departments and not to allow any idleness and indiscipline, whether it is related to attendance and leave, or by using the working hours for personal purposes unrelated to the Academy.
In the same context, His Excellency stressed the importance of self-monitoring and the fear of God Almighty as a constant basis and principle in the behavior of a Muslim, explaining that administrative procedures such as fingerprinting and others are only tools that aid discipline, and the basic principle is that the employee monitors himself or herself and fears God and adheres to what is pledged when signing the work contract with the Academy. His Excellency emphasized that defrauding the system by stamping entry and then sneaking out for private purposes, then returning to stamp leaving is deceit and forgery, and therefore the salary that employee takes is considered a sin and forbidden that is not permissible for them at all.
The meeting reached several decisions, the most important of which are:
- Expedite the preparation for the symposium on stunning poultry in partnership with the Food and Drug Authority, while ensuring that it is held in the city of Jeddah.
- Preparing for the upcoming meeting with Taliban scholars in Afghanistan during the month of February.
- Holding a meeting for the Board of Trustees of the Academy’s Waqf Fund during the month of February.
