31st Periodic Meeting of Divisions Heads

On Thursday, 16 Rajab 1443H corresponding to 17 February 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the 31st periodic meeting of divisions heads from his residence in the Guinean capital Conakry.

His Excellency the Secretary General welcomed the heads of divisions and thanked them for attending these periodic meetings as a means of communication, information and follow-up of the activities and programs of the Academy. His Excellency stressed the need for discipline and adherence to the laws and procedures regulating the work of the Organization’s employees and to give these meetings their due attention and respect and to work to implement the decisions and directives emanating from them.

Then His Excellency spoke about his recent trip to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, where he participated in the Second African Forum on Promoting Peace in the African Continent. On the sidelines of the summit, His Excellency held important meetings with the Mauritanian Prime Minister, the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and the Mauritanian Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education and signed with the latter a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Academy.

His Excellency also congratulated the attendees for the publication of the last issue of the Academy’s newsletter within the specified deadlines, thanks to the concerted efforts of the committees in charge of it, especially the designer, Mr. Saad Al-Sammaar, who ensured that the newsletter was produced in the three official languages ​​of the Organization in record time.

Several decisions were taken from the meeting, the most important of which are:

  • Starting to prepare and publish the biographies of the living members of the Academy in the next newsletter issues, and that each number includes twelve (12) members.
  • Communicate with the researchers of the Poultry stunning Symposium to expedite sending their research to ensure that the symposium is held on the date specified for it.
  • Reviewing the site’s content periodically and making the necessary amendments to it on a regular basis.

Secretary‑General of the Academy Visits the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary‑General of the Academy, paid an official visit on 29 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 February 2026, to the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jeddah. For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
