On Tuesday, 20 Dhu al-Hijjah 1443H corresponding to 19 July 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the twenty-first monthly meeting of the Academy’s employees, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary General welcomed everyone and expressed his condolences for the death of the mother of our colleague Ahmed Ali Jazouli, who passed away recently. His Excellency also thanked everyone for their regular attendance of these important periodic meetings that discuss the issues of the Academy.
His Excellency also offered congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, then spoke about his participation in the Great Hajj Symposium, in which a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and eminent scholars, jurists and thinkers inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated. His Excellency the Secretary General also presented his thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the great and accessible services they provide to Muslims around the world to enable them to perform Hajj and Umrah in the best and most favorable conditions. His Excellency also thanked the Ministry of Hajj for organizing this specialized symposium, for inviting him to participate, and for well choosing its topic.
After listening to the staff’s opinions, suggestions and interventions regarding the preparations for the twenty-fifth session, the discussions concluded with the following points:
- The need to start reviewing the Session’s research papers and to ensure its compliance with the set topics.
- Continuously updating information about the number of research papers and researchers’ information such as their recent passport copies, and so on.
- Starting to write to the bodies with which the Academy has signed cooperation agreements with the aim of nominating researchers on topics in which there is still a need for research.
- Starting to print the Session’s finished research papers.
