42nd Periodic Meeting of Division Heads

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), presided over the forty-second periodic meeting of the heads of divisions in the Academy, on Thursday 03 of Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1444H corresponding to 29 September 2022G at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency started the meeting with praise to God Almighty, and prayers and peace upon the Noble Messenger, then welcomed to the heads of divisions, and thanked everyone for their presence, and reminded all of the importance of adhering to the dates of periodic meetings in the Academy and the necessity of holding them on their specified dates in order to achieve the objectives of the strategic plan of the Academy, and to accomplish the work of the General Secretariat in the fullest manner in general.

His Excellency also reminded the audience that the General Secretariat of the Academy will focus in particular during this coming period on good preparation for holding the twenty-fifth Session of the Conference of the Academy Council in the coming months and called on everyone to strengthen cooperation and integration between departments and divisions on a daily basis in order to remove all obstacles and difficulties and possible errors.

The meeting then discussed the items on the meeting’s agenda, and the discussions resulted in a number of decisions being taken, including:

  • Begin to coordinate and edit the finalized research of Session in batches in preparation for printing them on time.
  • Preparing a glossary of the members of the Academy for printing and distribution during the Session.
  • Printing the final research papers that will be presented during the 25th Session individually according to the approved themes of the Session.
  • Starting correspondence with the member states of the OIC to host the next five Sessions of the Academy (26, 27, 28, 29 and 30), in order to ensure early preparation for holding them.
