The International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) held its ninety-sixth weekly meeting for the directors of departments, on Monday 06 Rabi’ al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 31 October 2022G, headed by His Excellency Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees, thanking them for their keenness to attend these weekly meetings, reiterating that these meetings will be dedicated to discussing the twenty-fifth Session and the new work related to it. His Excellency also spoke about the latest developments regarding the date of holding the Academy’s Session, which will be held soon as the necessary financial support has been secured. He also directed the departments to follow up on the tasks entrusted to them and complete them in the required manner so that the Session achieves its desired goals and objectives.
The meeting then discussed the items of the previous decisions, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:
- Sending a telegram of condolences to the Tunisian delegation at the OIC and to the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the death of the member of the Academy, the Grand Mufti Sheikh Othman Batikh.
- Completing the preparation of the concept for the Session’s program (the scientific sessions with their titles), with a proposal for the time period for each scientific session according to the topic, and the number of researchers in it.
- Sending the finished and edited research papers to the Academy’s members so that they can review them in a sufficient period before the Session is held.
