His Excellency Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the third joint weekly meeting of the departments and divisions of the academy, on Monday 25 Jumada al-Awwal 1444H corresponding to 19 December 2022G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and thanked them for participating in the meeting, praising the various efforts made to ensure the success of the session through good preparation. Then His Excellency informed the attendees of the issuance of the royal approval to hold the session in the second half of February 2023G in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On this occasion, His Excellency expressed the Academy’s gratitude and appreciation to the headquarters country, its king, government, and people for the continuous support of the Academy. In this context, His Excellency urged all employees to redouble efforts to accomplish all work requirements for the session, intensify cooperation and coordination between departments and divisions, and ensure that all tasks assigned to them are well executed within the specified deadlines.
Then the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:
- Adopting the date of the second half of February 2023G as the official date for the Academy’s session.
- Begin sending the list of members of the Academy to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request visas to attend the session.
- Inviting dignitaries from inside and outside the Kingdom to attend the opening ceremony of the session.
- Updating members’ information on the Academy’s website on a regular basis.
