10th Joint Weekly Meeting of Departments and Divisions

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the tenth joint weekly meeting of the departments and divisions of the Academy, on Monday 16 Rajab 1444H corresponding to 06 February 2023G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, thanking everyone for their efforts in following up the preparations for the Session, pointing to the need for teamwork, cooperation and integration between all committees, departments and divisions to complete the remaining preparations and enter into the final stage that precedes the Session by a week, hoping that each committee will finish its work a week before the Session is held, as the last week is devoted to arrangements and preparations for receiving the participants and guests.

Then the committees presented their weekly reports on the work accomplished during the last period, and raised to the meeting the difficulties and problems they encountered in order to find solutions to them. In conclusion, His Excellency urged all committees to exert their utmost efforts, intensify cooperation and coordination between them, and raise their needs directly to the Finance Department.

Then the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, the most important of which are:

  • The need to complete the collection of all research presentations submitted to the Session after correcting and coordinating them, then printing and distributing them during the Session.
  • Addressing the OIC regarding the use of its translators and translation devices during the opening ceremony of the Session.
  • Communicating with researchers and invitees from Jeddah to find out their requirements during the Session.
  • Enhancing the number of members of the Housing and Welcoming Committee by adding new names to it to ensure a good reception of delegations.
