Within the framework of strengthening the relations of cooperation, partnership and communication between the Academy and the leading scientific institutions and centers in the countries of Muslim communities Dr. Abu Bakr Jaber, Director of Al Maktoum College of Higher Education, received H.E. Prof. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, on Thursday, the 26th of Dhu al-Qi`dah for the year 1444 AH corresponding to June 15, 2023, in the college building in Dundee, Scotland.

The Director welcomed His Excellency, thanking him for accepting the invitation, and praising the appreciated scientific efforts made by His Excellency In the field of spreading moderation, promoting tolerance, coexistence, and rejecting extremism, he also expressed his great gratitude to His Excellency for giving him the opportunity to participate in the last historical session of the Academy, in which he witnessed that scientific role, the great role of the Academy, and the great intellectual responsibility entrusted to it represented in achieving intellectual convergence and integration among scholars specialized in religious sciences and experts in human sciences when looking at calamities, its developments, and its problems, noting in this regard the aspiration of the college and its full readiness to move forward in activating the terms of the cooperation agreement signed between the college and the Academy, especially with regard to the joint organization of seminars, conferences and workshops, conducting scientific research and studies on issues and issues of common interest. At the end of his speech, he conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of H.E. Ambassador Mirza Al-Sayegh, President of the College, and Lord Elder, College Adviser. For his part, His Excellency expressed his great thanks and great appreciation for the invitation, and for the warm welcome, praising the great development that the college is witnessing under his administration at various levels, especially in the field of important scientific disciplines and programs that it offers to keep pace with the times, and to contribute to the development of knowledge and human thought. He also expressed the academy‘s full readiness to build a strategic partnership in developing scientific programs aimed at promoting coexistence, and consolidating the values ​​of tolerance and moderation among scholars and decision-makers.

To achieve this, His Excellency directed Dr. Al-Hajj Manta Drammeh, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Academy, who was accompanying His Excellency to hold an urgent meeting with the college administration in order to discuss a way to activate the other items related to the MoU by proposing scientific and intellectual projects and activities that can be implemented according to specific deadlines.
