The General Secretariat of the Academy held its forty-seventh periodic meeting for the heads of divisions, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, on Thursday, the 24th of of Dhu al-Qi`dah 1444 AH, corresponding to the 13th of June of 2023 AD, at the headquarters of the Academy in Jeddah.

He opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, then he spoke about the recent medical jurisprudence symposium organized by the General Secretariat of the Academy, entitled Breastfeeding premature babies with the milk of known and unknown mothers, on Monday 09 of the month of Dhul-Quida 1444 AH corresponding to May 29, 2023 AD, in the city of Jeddah, congratulating everyone on the success of the Symposium, calling them to continue work and effort to maintain excellence and continued success in all the work of the Academy and its activities. Then he stated that the Academy‘s policy, which was approved by the Statute, approves cooperation with countries, institutions, and companies within the Member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and beyond, and this also allows it to receive unconditional in-kind and cash donations from countries, institutions and companies in order to organize seminars, conferences and workshops, praising the rich experience of the Academy in cooperation with countries, institutions and companies to organize a number of successful specialized courses and seminars. His Excellency made it clear that there is no relationship between that cooperation and what is known as a conflict of interests, because the resolutions of the Academy and its recommendations are completely independent, and no party can influence them or interfere in their formulation. To adhere to transparency, impartiality, and integrity, whether in its dealings with countries, institutions, or companies, the Academy declared openly the details of the organisations and companies which it collaborates with in organising the conferences and symposia.

The meeting reviewed the items of the decisions of the previous meeting, and issued several new decisions, the most important of which are:

▪︎Working on designing and printing a booklet containing all the agreements concluded in the three languages.

▪︎Preparing a statistical report on the number of visitors to the site in countries.

▪︎Final review of the “A’lam Al-Majma’ Dictionary”, and review the entire translation in preparation for its printing.
