His Excellency Prof. Koutoutb Moustafa Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, received in his office in Jeddah, on Thursday 02 of Muharram 1445 AH corresponding to July 20, 2023 His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Jaafar Mohammed Jaafar, Permanent Representative and Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency expressed his sincere thanks and great appreciation to His Excellency for the warm welcome and good reception, noting in this regard that this visit will be his last visit to the General Secretariat of the Academy, as he is at the end of his tenure as a permanent representative of his country to OIC, expressing his appreciation and thanks to His Excellency for the fruitful cooperation he received throughout his work, and appreciated the distinguished role, and those great efforts made by the Academy under the leadership of His Excellency in the service of Islam and Muslims, especially with regard to clarifying the provisions of Sharia on calamities, issues and developments of interest to Muslims around the world, and stressing the keenness of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to continue communication and cooperation with the Academy, especially with regard to aspects of common interest.
For his part, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Academy, welcomed His Excellency and thanked him for this visit, which confirms His Excellency’s great keenness to strengthen cooperation and communication between the General Secretariat of the Academy and scientific and religious institutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. On this occasion, His Excellency expressed his regret to hear the news of His Excellency’s departure due to the end of his tenure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing his sincere thanks, appreciation, and great gratitude to His Excellency for his commendable efforts in strengthening the relations of cooperation and communication between the Academy and prominent scientific institutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, appreciating in particular the sincerity of His Excellency in supporting all the activities and programs of the Academy during his tenure as a Permanent Representative of his country to the OIC. His Excellency concluded his speech by praying for his happiness with success and prosperity in his new tasks, and that God reward him abundantly.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Al-Mundhir Al-Shawk, Director of Cabinet and Protocol Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Al-Idrissi, Director of Media and Public Relations Department, and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Mustafa Al-Mansi, Head of protocols division.

Secretary‑General of the Academy Visits the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary‑General of the Academy, paid an official visit on 29 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 February 2026, to the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jeddah. For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
