H.E. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, chaired the fifty-fifth regular meeting of the heads of the Academy’s divisions at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in Jeddah, on Tuesday 18 Rajab 1445, corresponding to 30 January 2024.

At the meeting’s onset, His Excellency welcomed the heads of divisions, informing them of the approval of the Emiri Diwan in the State of Qatar to host the twenty-sixth (26) session of the Academy next November.

The meeting discussed previous decisions and issued new decisions, notably:

• Sending new issues of IIFA’s monthly newsletter to embassies and consulates in Saudi Arabia.
• Sending the biographical dictionary of IIFA’s members to the publisher for typesetting, then to various depts and divisions to give their opinions.
• IIFA’s scientific committee shall draft specific areas and subtopics for the 26th session.
