Delegation from Libya’s International Dawah Society visits the Academy

Mr. Mohammed Walid Al-Idrisi, Acting Secretary General of the Academy, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department, received H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ali Ajal, Member of the Committee of the International Dawah Society based in Libya, and his accompanying delegation on Monday 29 Safar 1446, corresponding to 2 September 2024, at the Academy’s headquarters in Jeddah.

The delegation expressed its thanks and gratitude to the Academy for this meeting, noting the Academy’s prestigious position and distinguished scientific reputation at the global level, adding that the International Dawah Society looks forward to enhancing scientific cooperation with the Academy to benefit from its expertise, particularly its resolutions, recommendations, and publications.

The Acting Secretary General received and greeted the guests of the Academy on behalf of greetings of the Secretary General, H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano and wished him success in his endeavors. He reiterated the Academy’s permanent commitment to support official scientific institutions in the OIC Member States to achieve their scientific and intellectual objectives in service of the Ummah. He then provided the delegation with a brief overview of the Academy’s history, vision, objectives, and mission, noting that the Academy is considered the leading and pioneering authority within OIC Member States in highlighting the positions of Sharia on issues of concern to the Ummah.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Hassan Ashour, Political Advisor at the State of Libya’s Permanent Delegation to the OIC, in addition to Mr. Mohammed Mondher Chouk, Director of Cabinet and Protocols, Dr. Abdulfatah Abnaouf, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al-Mansi, Head of Protocols Division.

For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
