
The Secretariat General of the Academy held its 55th monthly meeting of the Academy’s personnel, chaired by H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General, on Sunday 11 Muharam 1447, corresponding to 6 July 2025, at the Academy’s headquarters in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and then spoke about his recent participation in the inaugural meeting of the Founding Advisory Council of the Singapore Islamic Studies University Project, which was held on Tuesday, 28 Dhul Hijja 1446, corresponding to 24 June 2025, in the capital city, Singapore. His Excellency explained that this meeting marks an important step toward establishing the first specialized Islamic college in Singapore, dedicated to preparing an elite group of Muslim leaders and thinkers who combine sound Islamic scholarship with contemporary intellectual awareness. He also said that he participated in the activities of the “Fatwa Workshop 2025,” organized by the Office of the Mufti and the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) in the capital, where he delivered a speech highlighting the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in the service of contemporary fatwas, within the framework of Islamic legal guidelines.
As is customary in such meetings, His Excellency allowed the Academy’s employees to express their views and remarks regarding the Academy’s work progress. The meeting concluded with several decisions, notably:
- Initiating the preparation of a booklet that includes the proposed budget for the 27th session of the Academy.
- Submitting a detailed report on the French edition of the Book of Resolutions.
- Printing of the Biographical Dictionary of the Academy’s members book after its final revision.
It is worth noting that the holding of such meetings reflects the Academy’s commitment to continuous follow-up and improvement of the work environment, contributing to the creation of a motivating workplace and the development of workflow. These meetings facilitate ongoing communication and the exchange of opinions between departments, facilitate follow-up on developments, and help overcome obstacles.
