Under the chairmanship of His Excellency Professor Dr. Koutob Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, the 77th meeting of Heads of Departments was held on Thursday, 16 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to 30 July 2026, at the headquarters of the Academy’s General Secretariat in Jeddah.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the participants and commented on their efforts in carrying out their assigned duties. He also announced to them the approval of the Kingdom of Morocco to host the 28th session of the Council of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, scheduled to be held in March 2027.

He further reviewed the outcomes of several visits he had made to official authorities and institutions in the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the Qur’anic and scholarly publications donated to the Academy on those occasions.

The meeting then discussed a number of administrative and organizational matters related to developing the Academy’s activities and enhancing operational efficiency.

The meeting adopted several decisions, including:

• Complete the distribution of the Academy’s publications and scholarly editions to Saudi universities and several scientific and religious institutions in the Kingdom of Morocco.
• Provide a screen displaying information about the Academy’s former presidents, secretaries-general, members and experts, and complete the procedures for providing a modern camera and microphone to support media work.
• Encourage employees to participate in training courses in accordance with approved procedures.
• Complete the distribution of official translations of the Academy’s publications to Member States in accordance with the approved languages.
• Follow up on the Academy Library catalogue, make it available on the website, and complete the database of the national addresses of Saudi universities.
