2nd Periodic Meeting of the Heads of the IIFA Departments

Secretary General of the Academy, H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, chaired the 2nd periodic meeting of the heads of the Academy’s departments, which was held on Thursday 25 Rabi Al-Awal 1442, corresponding to 12 November 2020.

His Excellency opened the meeting by reminding the attendants that the Academy was established to be the legal arm of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. His Excellency also called for all officials to adhere to the ten work values. He also called on the administrative and financial affairs department to provide an appropriate working environment within the Academy to enable each employee to be creative in his work.

His Excellency also suggested cooperating with external translators to translate the publications of the Academy and send them to non-Arabic speaking countries. His Excellency asked each department to provide its financial budget proposal as soon as possible, and accepted the proposal made regarding the launching of a monthly prize for the ideal employee in the Academy.

His Excellency accepted the proposal to write the biographies of the colleagues who worked at the Academy to present their efforts in the service of this Islamic edifice. He instructed the Information Technology Department to prepare a comprehensive vision for the technological needs of the offices to modernize and improve performance. His Excellency also assured that all the publications of Academy will be distributed free of charge to legal and academic institutions around the world at the Academy’s expense.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency greeted and thanked all departments for their efforts, all welcoming the significant positive changes in performance expected at the end of the first 100 days of his tenure as Secretary General of the Academy.

He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
