H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the forty-second monthly meeting of the Academy’s personel on Sunday 24 Dhul Hijja 1445, corresponding to June 30, 2024, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the participants, praying for the mother of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco, asking Allah to have mercy on the deceased, forgive her, pardon her and grant her eternal rest. He then informed participants of the approval to hold the symposium on “Farmed meats and modified foods of animal origin” and called on departments and divisions to begin preparations for the scientific symposium to be held at the end of September, stressing the importance of ongoing cooperation and coordination between departments to ensure its success.

His Excellency then opened the floor to employees to express their opinions and observations on the progress of work at the Academy. His Excellency listened to all comments and suggestions. The meeting took a number of decisions, notably:

• Personal leaves to be approved by the direct superior and recorded with the Administrative Affairs Department.
• The Administrative Affairs Department should not approve a leave, until an employee of the department works during the leave of other colleagues.
• Contact researchers whose research has been accepted and remind them to prepare a two-page summary of their research presentation.
