24 June، 2026

On the sidelines of the 12th Doha Islamic Finance Conference, held this year under the title “Islamic Finance in the Age of Agent Systems,” the International Islamic Fiqh Academy signed a cooperation memorandum with Bait Al-Mashura Financial Consultations in the State of Qatar. The signing took place on Tuesday, 1 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to 16 June 2026, in Doha.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Academy by His Excellency Professor Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, and on behalf of Bait Al-Mashura Financial Consultations by Dr Osama Qais Al-Duraei, Managing Director and CEO of the company.

The memorandum aims to strengthen scientific and research cooperation between the two parties and to exchange expertise and specialised knowledge in Islamic economics and finance. It also seeks to support scientific research, promote the culture of the Islamic financial industry, and contribute to its development.

The memorandum further provides for cooperation in organising conferences, seminars, training programs, and academic workshops; exchanging experts and specialists; preparing joint studies and research; and sharing scientific publications and printed materials—all in a way that serves the shared objectives of both parties and enhances institutional integration between them.

Both sides affirmed that this memorandum represents an important step toward strengthening scientific and professional partnerships and unifying efforts to serve issues related to Islamic economics and the Islamic financial industry. It also contributes to the development of contemporary Sharia and financial solutions that respond to rapid challenges and changes.

The signing of this memorandum is part of the Academy’s commitment to expanding its scientific and strategic partnerships with leading institutions in Islamic finance, in support of its mission to serve the Muslim Ummah and promote specialised scientific research.
