IIFA Secretary General participates in CIBAFI Symposium on the Economic Empowerment of Women

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the scientific virtual symposium organized by the General Council of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) under the title "Women's Economic Empowerment: The Role of Islamic Financial Institutions in Bridging the Current Gaps", on Monday 21 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1443H, corresponding to 20 June 2022G.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), presided over the eighty-second weekly meeting of the departments on Monday, 20 Dhu al-Qi’dah, 1443H, corresponding to 19 June 2022G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), held a virtual meeting via Zoom technology with His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Qayyum, the first imam of the famous East London Mosque in the United Kingdom, on Saturday 19 Dhul-Qi’dah 1443H corresponding to 18 June 2022G.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Dabian, Director General of the London Central Mosque Fund and the Islamic Cultural Center, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions, on Friday 18 Dhul-Qi’dah 1443H corresponding to 17 June 2022G virtually via Zoom technology.

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), in cooperation with the General Authority for Food and Drug (FDA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Stunning Poultry and Animals before slaughtering them, and its impact on the legitimacy of slaughter” during 14-15 of Dhu al-Qa’dah 1443H corresponding to 13-14 June 2022G in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the 81st weekly meeting of the directors of departments, on Thursday 17 Dhul Qi’dah 1443H corresponding to 16 June 2022G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), delivered a lecture within the series of public lectures at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, the United Kingdom, via Zoom technology, on Wednesday 16 Dhul Qi’dah 1443H corresponding to 15 June 2022G. The title of this year's public lecture was: “Cryptocurrencies: How Will Islamic Finance and Islamic Jurisprudence Adapt to the New Economic Paradigm?”

On Thursday, 10 Dhu al-Qa’dah 1443H corresponding to 09 June 2022G, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the thirty-ninth periodic meeting of the heads of divisions, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, received today a large delegation consisting of imams of mosques in the Republic of Serbia, led by Dr. Anwar Getic, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies in the Republic of Serbia, on Thursday 10 Dhul-Qa’dah 1443H corresponding to 09 June 2022G at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
